        This willing but mannerly climber is quick to establish itself. Rich, wafting, tea fragrance. Good
        re-bloom. Like the bush version this may "ball" (fail to open) in wet weather. Best zone 6 or warmer.

                         'Compassion'   Harkness 1972 Apricot-peach flowers fading to buff. The flowers are large and
                   
wonderfully fragrant. Dark green, healthy foliage. We found this growing in nearby Orwigsburg last summer.
                   The owner said she had sent for at least 15 roses 20 years ago. This was the only survivor, blooming and persisting
                   on neglect, covered in fragrant bloom.  8' -9'

                        'Rosanna' Kordes 1982 Large pink flowers with a touch of coral reminiscent of Hybrid Tea
                  roses. Good for pillar or arbor, this hardy and vigorous rose grows to 10'. Strong fragrance and good repeat bloom.

    RAMBLERS: Glorious once a year spectacle
           
                           'Goldfinch' G. Paul 1907  Masses of apricot buds open to rich yellow and fade to
                      cream. The small, semi-double flowers have bright yellow stamens and are borne in clusters
                       of up to 25.  Moderate, fruity floral scent. Plant is vigorous, almost thorn-less  8' - 10' Stands shade.
                       Useful to cover a stump, fence or arbor. Zone 5b and warmer.

    'Dr. W. Van Fleet'  Van Fleet 1900 This is the once blooming rose from which re-blooming
    'New Dawn' sported. Large, pink, fragrant flowers smother the plant in rose season.
    We have seen it growing on railroad banks completely on its own and thriving for decades.
    Thorny. Preferred by some for its huge display. Fragrance wafts on the air.  SOLD OUT
